Mike Canine has lived in the Des Moines area all his life. He and his wife have been married for 25 years, and have 3 children.  

Mike's great grandfather (GL Canine) was a builder in 1924. He and his sons opened up Canine Brothers and continued to build homes together until 1954. Mike's grandfather, Ralph Canine, then developed Canine Construction, as a well-known builder back in the 1950s until the early 1980s. Being introduced to the building trade by his grandfather, Mike's love for woodworking and craftsmanship had grown. In 2005, Canine Carpentry LLC was established. Specializing in interior trim and custom woodworking, his passion for building shows. Sometime you will see Mike's sons at the sites helping work and learn alongside their dad.

As the owner of Canine Carpentry LLC, Mike is commitment to meeting the needs of his customers. He listens to what is important to the client, creating unique details in his work to make it original.
